Short Biography
Having been brought up as the eldest of two siblings, Ethan has somewhat of a protective streak in him. He loves his little sister, Rose, to bits, and he isn't embarassed to admit it. Even after she stopped following him around like a little sheep, doing everything he said and trying to copy everything he did, Ethan always kept an eye on her. When Ethan started at Hogwarts, he felt as if he had entered a completely different world. Of course, Ethan had been brought up in a Wizarding family, but he found out the hard way that the Potters lived more like Muggles than most Wizarding families. Still Ethan quickly adjusted to life in Hogwarts, and all the dangers and pleasures that came with it. As with his father, there was quite a hubbub that, "a Potter is coming to Hogwarts!" However, this soon died down. For one, Ethan took after his mother more than his father, and most people stopped treating him differently because of his name.
Personality
Ethan is a lovable character. He is always doing his best to help people out, and loves to make new friends. Of course, he will always try to avoid a fight, but he will do his best to look out for anyone in trouble, and if it comes to a fight, he will never back down. Ethan's best attribute is that he is able to make friends easily; he is very charismatic.
Of course, everyone has bad points in their personality, and Ethan is no exception. Though he is trusting, Ethan has a tendency to trust people without thinking it through. He believes the best of everyone, even those who don't deserve it, and this has lead into some very nasty situations in the past.

SAMPLE ROLEPLAY[/blockquote]
"Mmm, that was nice," Ethan said to the nearest house elf as he licked his fingers. The taste of the hastily-eaten apple pie was still in Ethan's mouth as he pushed himself away from the wall he had been leaning against. Hogwarts' kitchens were a favourite haunt for the eighteen-year-old Hufflepuff. "Thanks again, guys!" Ethan called out with a wave of the hand over his shoulder as he made his way towards the door that led out of the kitchens. Ethan could easily have followed everyone else into the Great Hall to get some dinner instead of coming down here, but he had been feeling in an oddly lonesome mood this evening. Oddly, as Ethan was usually anything but lonesome. He was the King of Conversation, the one who loved to talk to anyone about anything. But not today. No, today Ethan had spent the afternoon, after he had finished his lessons, wandering the empty spaces of Hogwarts. A few people had called out to him as he walked along on his own, some just to say hello, others asking if he wanted to come and hang with them, but he had declined all of the latter offers, in preference of solitude.
As he walked through the Entrance Hall on his way outside, Ethan was assaulted by friendly and not-so-friendly faces, but made his excuses quickly and effectively to all of these people he really didn't want to talk to today. Maybe I could go and find Rose... Ethan thought to himself, but dismissed the thought. Rose had mentioned that she would be studying in all of her spare time this week, and he didn't want to get in her way. Ethan may be a year older and have already done all the lessons his sister was now doing, but he knew there was nothing he could teach her academic-wise. Little Rose Potter was the academic sibling in the family, not her older brother Ethan. Ethan had no problem with this, as he knew that were completely different people. He respected his sister's talents, and she respected his.
Maybe I could keep Alex company for a while instead. But for that, Ethan would have to actually know where Alex was... And he didn't. So, without further ado, Ethan continued his walk, heading out of the castle and into the grounds. He had always loved walking around the grounds in Hogwarts. It was a large place, and besides giving you exercise, the scenery surrounding the castle was beautiful.
Just as he had stopped thinking about looking for Alex, Ethan spotted a familiar mop of hair behind a tree. Huh, I should have known to look for her there, Ethan thought as a smile crossed his features. The old oak tree beside the lake was a favourite place for many a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The fact that many of them would fight for the possibility of being able to sit under -- or in -- that tree notwithstanding, it did offer a nice place to sit and relax. In fact, Ethan had spent most of his free time sitting there himself before the summer holidays had broken out. He had found it a brilliant place to just sit and study for exams. Of course, it was also a great place to socialise in, though Ethan hadn't been there himself for quite a while now.
Ethan approached the tree silently, aiming to surprise Alex. However, when he was a few feet away, Ethan noticed that Alex's eyes were closed and her chest was rising with the steady motions of sleep. Indecision pausing his movement, Ethan wondered whether he should just leave Alex to sleep; she had obviously been tired enough to fall asleep outside, and therefore probably needed the rest.
Ethan had always liked Alex, from the first time she had been brought to the Potter house by Rose in their first Christmas holiday from Hogwarts. He had at first treated her like another younger sister, and Ethan sensed that she liked having an older-brother-figure. She was an only child, after all. Still, they had gotten closer, and even 'pretended' to flirt with each other. Of course, this was purely for Rose's annoyance. All older brothers have to annoy their little sister somehow, don't they? Ethan didn't really have any feelings for Alex... Not in that way. At least, that's what he told himself.
"Wakey wakey, sleepy-head!" Ethan suddenly said in a loud, clear voice, taking the initiative to wake Alex up.
